Roof Hatches Specifications Roof Hatches Cover: 14 gage galvanized steel / .125 aluminum in box type design with 1" rigid fiberglass insulation and 22 gage galvanized steel / .040 aluminum cover liner. Continuous santoprene weather / draft seal is attached to inside of cover to provide a flush, tight fit. The cover is designed to support a live load of 40 pounds/sq.ft. Roof Hatches Curb: 14 gage galvanized steel / .125 aluminum with 1" rigid fiberglass insulation at curb exterior. Curb is 12" high, and has 3-1/2" wide mounting flange with pre-drilled holes. Roof Hatches Hinge: Steel butt hinges with brass pin. Roof Hatches Opening: Device Fully enclosed compression spring operators allow cover to open and close easily. Automatic hold open arm with red vinyl grip release keeps cover in open position when needed, and allows for easy control when closing hatch cover. Roof Hatches Latch: Self-latching outside turn handle with inside lever handle permits cover to always latch securely. Inside and outside padlock provisions allow for extra security. Roof Hatches Finish: Galvanized steel: prime painted with rust-inhibiting grey primer. Aluminum: mill finish.

Roof Hatch Safety Ladder Extension

Access in and out of Roof Hatches can be stressful and pose a real threat of injury. The SLE-1 (Safety Ladder Extension) is a permanently installed ladder extension that provides the safety of being able to get a firm grip while climbing in or out of a roof hatch. The SLE-1 (Safety Ladder Extension) as manufactured by Acudor Products Inc. Fairfield, NJ is constructed of hardened steel with a safety yellow finish. Unit is designed to mount to the exterior of curb. The SLE-1 is furnished complete with hardware to insure proper installation.

Roof Hatch Telescoping Safety Post

The TSP-1 (Telescoping Safety Post) attaches securely to wall mounted ladders enabling an individual to enter or exit a floor hatch or roof hatch in an upright and balanced position. The Telescoping Safety Post mounts to the top two ladder rungs, telescopes up and down, and locks in an upright position. After the TSP-1 has been used it retracts to its original position. The TSP-1 (Telescoping Safety Post) as manufactured by Acudor Products Inc. Fairfield, NJ shall be constructed of aluminum (Type 6061-T6, ASTM B241) with stainless steel (Type 304) hardware. It shall be designed with a telescoping tubular section that is pulled up by a fixed loop at the top. This section must hook securely over a ladder rung when fully extended. Unit shall be supplied completely assembled with all necessary hardware for securing to the ladder rungs in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.

Smoke Vents -

Acudor Smoke Vents release heat, smoke and noxious gases during a fire. Each vent is designed to automatically open when a fusible link inside the vent reaches a certain temperature.
